Our Story
Fourth Moon Camp officially started in January of 2021 with a small number of Rock Climbers and Slackliners looking to develop principles of modern land conservancy in Appalachia, balanced with intentional community and outdoor recreation. Using the undeveloped 175 acres of private property located immediately east to the iconic Seneca Rocks, we looked to offer pristine wilderness as the stage for a variety of outdoor activities. However, to accomplish this goal, we would need to take steps to also conserve the wilderness we love so much.
Fourth Moon Camp now offers a handful of structured outdoor activities and opportunities, while balancing them against the ever-present task of land conservation. Our forestry and wildlife management plans comprehensively provide sustainable protections to our land with the hopes of conserving this pristine environment; Seneca Rocks, West Virginia.
